BEFORE HEXAWARE

BEFORE HEXAWARE
Current Business Analyst in Chennai (India) – Reviewed 2 weeks ago
Pros – Less pressure.
More job security.
As a fresher can learn many things.
Cons – So many, let me list down couple of them.
1. One of the worst Process & policies I've ever seen.
2. HR & Admin team works as per their wish. employee don't have any right to question.
3. 3 years Bonds for freshers
4. Hardly any employee benefit. You have to run behind admin people & from one building to another for basic facilities like AC, Printer, Xerox, stationary item, Hard to believe but true..
5. Management don't mind shuffling resources from one technologies to another even for 5-6 years of exp. as a result many ppl can't gain expertise in their respective fields as per there years of experience
6. Only 6 holidays per year
7. Strict rule of 9.15 working hours

Advice to Senior Management – Try to understand employees concern and fear. Value them don't treat them only as resource to bill.
Also try to see what is happening in other companies and try to reform your outlook and policies accordingly. Otherwise it'll be hard to retain good talent.

Current Employee in Mumbai (India) – Reviewed 5 weeks ago
Pros – Best projects and work if you are in Peoplesoft
Good ambience and Team culture
Good learning in terms of professional experience
Good oppurtunities for onsite and projects if you have prooved your mettle
Cons – Management has a lame minded approach and is not proactive when it needs to be
You may find it hard to get the recognition even if you performed well
Management will ignore the feedback provided by the team members working on projects
managers tend to be short on technical knowhow and always present some stupid deadlines
Advice to Senior Management – Please look at hiring the right kind of leaders who will guide the technically capable and amazing workgroup at the company . Kindly do heed their concerns and feedbacks . that feedback should be taken into account and managers who do not have a planned way of guiding or growing a team should be taught to do so else their methodology and way of working needs to be questioned

Pros – 1. Nice work place (when compared with indian mnc's).
2. Good transport facilities.
3. Good food quality.
4. Extra curricular activities conducted at regular intervals.
5. Nice training provided at the time of induction.
6. Friendly and helpful colleagues.
Cons – 1. Unequal compensation. At the time of joining you should make up or else you will get lost in the
    middle.
2. Poor appraisal.
3. Non friendly HR policies.
4. Below average onsite opportunities.
5. Too much politics come into play for each and every thing!
6. No work life balance.
7. No importance given to laterals.
8. Campus recruits have their life easy (Full focus on them only)...
9. Good for persons who are campus recruited and experience above 7 or 10 years.
10. No professionalism.
11. Not much of pojects. Standard set of projects running for years.
12. Recruitment is done fully by the recommendations, for laterals.
13. For some projects, mandatory work of long hours.
14. Work timings sucks.
15. Poor & lethargic admin staff, HRs.
16. Not worthy managers (90% of them).
17. 3 months notice period, which is a big minus point and gets you arrested with them.
Advice to Senior Management – 1. Need to streamline the compensation across all ranks.
2. Admin and HR dept need to be streamlined with efficient persons.
3. Transparency should be adopted for appraisal and onsite opportunities.
4. Need to flex arms across various domains so as to have variety in projects.
5. At times need to take risk and get projects outside the area of expertise.
6. Middle management (Managerial category) needs to be revamped.

Hexaware has the potential to become a multi billion dollar company like TCS, Infosys, CTS in the coming years, but it lacks the business aggression to get more projects across domains.
Need to streamline the compensation package as per industry standards across all grades, regardless of campus recruited or lateral.
